Simple set up, strong materials, and ease of use make this a no brainer. I received a universal weight rack for my spin bike, hoping it would solve the problem of “where to put my 5lbs weights were I can get to them easy”. It did!
I ride using the Peloton app, but use an off brand bike that didn’t come with accessories or a rack. I’ve looked online and there are not a lot of alternatives. I’ve seen some “DIY” projects using parts from hardware stores that end up costing the same or more as this weight rack, but that look TERRIBLE, make you drill into the metal of your bike, and still leave some screws/bolts exposed.
This universal weight rack is made of a VERY strong material and looks and feels solid. My 5lbs dumbbells hang very naturally off each side, behind my seat now. The rack doesn’t bend or appear to have any problem holding these up (no stress fracturing of the material, etc.). The adjustable strap made getting the rack on a breeze (literally took me 2 minutes to get it all set up) and doesn’t require me to make any damaging modification to my bike.
Overall, I’m REALLY satisfied with the rack and it looks great on the bike. Almost as if it was designed exactly with what I had in mind. Avoid the DIY stuff, and just get this one. You’ll not regret it!
